Heavy metal girl
kicking a flimsy carriage
cracked rain flowing over
the lips of the curb
footpaths from pebble
to pebble
meteor to meteor
without goggles
or latex laughing

heavy metal girl
in the shrunken shop
witchery boiled down
to a small counter and
the shapes lost in celery
wraps on the moon and
untangled heart
beating her pale drum
lost like insect heat

benches and scrub trees
in an octagon around
the irritated sun
a slit in the cardboard day
running green with ass.
