Glaze on a high puddle of dawn
dammed up on the headboard
skylight cracked with spider eggs
trembling in the moth breeze
scanning car hoods
with doors of hoofprint meat
sliding walls on variable teeth
ant pincers in a little soap box
clay fronds on a deep dirt pot
untouched by water.

Pouring through the wires of a window
calendar cut into waffle shapes and swelling
smell of the body going through the body
will on will to grind two pennies
together in a yielding cycle
each thumb a screaming baby
wing beat of a devil's eye
coming home for apple.
