the walls of the world
until my eyes burn
out of my flesh
seeing the porous fade
of the usual lights
oozing in a pine glaze
drip of diseased planets
crossing the chutes of space.
Ships of rusted metal
lodged in sand
the sideshow of a fuming ocean
tossing up suits and keys.
Uncoupled from beauty
tarnished by its retreat
watching the chart of stars
crash into the spine
of a grey rectangle.
Surfed by blood
and an icicle's heat
for furrowed hands.
