HEADGEAR TO THWART AND TERRIFY THE JELLY

I begin by laying a blue mason jar on its side in a bed called the cast-iron plant santhemum
roof dazzling traditions of warfare against artists as hairy subhumans
the vines of caged tomatoes blackened their teeth; white stone walls
painted red and covered by a form winkle structure
like a bright windowsill in the shadow of taller sun sleeves
who takes her watering cues from the formation of modern eyes
a hot griddle using across rooftops to freedom
tense with contained energy and undrained pineapple
sound effects, butterflies and birds
on slender poles and costumed with his brave mistress
