Mouth kicked in crossing snowfields
playing in glacial silt and stoneware
gadgets through the frozen waves
and revolving biscuit cutters,
the flowing streams reminiscent of
conveyor-belt toasters along high ridges
mosses and lichens gouged out of
subterranean tectonic plates like raisin seeders
and ravenous mountain air.
