Gnashing stars of faded ages
made their dark imprint.
The cold dawn fell on one leaf
and turned.  A rainbow helmet
expanded over cliffs
and wild woods.

Stalks crashed in the penetrative night.
Suds of mercy and sand blasted blood.

Waking on a fabric of rabbit knuckles
listening to coins plink
in the wooden distance
dry library to laundry chute
the swirling moon.
