I press all the buttons
and wait for the machines to come.
Poison leaves with radiant red tones
wave to me.  The breeze
is their master.
I slosh for clams
in the grey water
of the auditorium bird bath.

Confused millions
watch me become
a granite orb.
Shorelines cross
from opposing beaches.
A wedge lands
in the split of my brain
above a spray of bone.
