Glaze of blood on eyes
never covered by a blink,
flickering gaze that eats tired bodies,
roads divulging worms and snakes
that broadcast the colors of humanity
squirming in gasoline paint
to eat the galaxies of reflected sky
with their own death,
as playgrounds fly through the air
severed from their old realities
by fire and by salt, by
humor and by murder,
by the killer who cares
and the long silent one who
undoes all that has been
done with a single whisper.
never covered by a blink,
flickering gaze that eats tired bodies,
roads divulging worms and snakes
that broadcast the colors of humanity
squirming in gasoline paint
to eat the galaxies of reflected sky
with their own death,
as playgrounds fly through the air
severed from their old realities
by fire and by salt, by
humor and by murder,
by the killer who cares
and the long silent one who
undoes all that has been
done with a single whisper.
